An Alpha’s work is never done but I have Emily and Kyle, my Beta, making my job so much easier. Kyle and Emily work mostly with the pack and I with our business. I also have Joseph, head of our warriors. He keeps us safe from hunters. The hunter of those who hunt us.
My day usually begins with a meeting with all three of them. A planning meeting… of sorts. The rest of the day, I spend my time with my farm managers.
Okay, the old packs have a lot of money, a lot. The packs have been around forever, and money makes more money. They will help anyone who gives them a good business plan. We had a good business plan.
We become partners to farmers in order to convert from feeding lots and grain fed cattle to grass fed. I know a lot of criticism will be made against that. Words like Vegan will be thrown out there.
Firstly, we have a wolf part. Wolves hunt prey, kill and eat that prey. That is nature. We, however, do know that cruelty and unsustainable farming are wrong. We are better than that, and we make it our business to do better.
All cattle are kept in pastures, and we have our own slaughter houses. Now, slaughter can never be completely humane, but we do everything we can to make it as humane as possible.
We even have our own transportation to take the cattle to the slaughter house.
The meat is then taken, again our own transport, to restaurants run by another pack. The transport is also run by a third pack. We try to keep business within our family, and not just packs. We try to involve the covens as well.
The Eclipse Moon pack runs the restaurants. High-end places that sells good and environmentally, humanely produced food. People are developing a conscious and don’t mind paying for it.
I know they are in business with a few other packs that provide other produce for them. That keeps the pack doing the transport very busy.
Each of my farm managers have a number of farms under them that they… manage. We don’t take ownership of the farms, which remains in the hands of the farmer. We do provide a lot of capital to convert the farm so we have a long contract with them.
Some of the farmers are easier to work with than others. That is the reason for the meetings. The managers brings problems and challenges to the forefront and we look for solutions. I am the type of Alpha that not only give orders, I do take suggestions as well.
